4th of July came and went and I’ve decided that after dragging it out for 4 days straight, it just might be my favorite holiday of the year.

I hate when good things come to an end.

We watched the fireworks display with a couple of my girlfriends and their kids and then Friday night we did a couples dinner on a lake by our house. It was fun to let Josh in on this part of my life and let him meet some of the girls that have helped shape who I am. Girls I went to high school with, one that I met because we share one special thing in common…being a mom, and another that when I think of my fun college years, I think of her. SO thankful for my mommy friends. So grateful for the thing that bonds us together and allowing our kids, husbands, boyfriends, to all come together and make memories.

And because we like to carry on good happenings, we celebrated again over the weekend. We channeled our inner red, white, and blue with our mutual friends and both our families (yes this happened). BBQ chicken and some corn on the cob, patriotic desserts, DIY fireworks, swimming, firecracker jello shots, dirt bikes and mule adventures, good conversation, lots of laughs. 4 acres of land and your guaranteed a good party.

Can I tell you how awesome it is to share mutual friends with your significant other? While I believe its always important to have your individual friends, the ones you have together will always be a bonus. It’s been so fun making memories with these girls and watching the friendships blossom. The boys can play golf, ride bikes, and build things in their garage while the girls go to the beach, have lunch, and go shopping. Then we come together for nights out, bbqs, and vacations. It adds a whole different dynamic to the relationship. Josh and I have been so fortunate for the friends we share and the things we’ve taken part in because we have this in common.

Lastly, I’d like to welcome new sponsor Teaplicity to LLL. Tea is my go to in living out a healthy lifestyle so I was beyond excited to cross paths with Teaplicity and their online shop of over 55 different teas that can be delivered right to your door. A family run business based out of Canada, Teaplicity makes your tea buying experience a breeze. The website has descriptions of all their flavors…I’m all over their happy hour collection! Brilliant, right?

I got the opportunity to try a couple different teas this week and I am loving the raspberry honey iced tea. It has a refreshing flavor that doesn’t even need to be flavored with sweetener. I have been trying to kick a diet Pepsi habit and iced tea has been my saving grace to help curb those cravings. The perfect summer drink.
